SKILLSFUTURE CREDIT

SkillsFuture Credit is course funding from the government available to Singaporeans 25 years old and above. With effect from January 1, 2016, Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of $500 dollars to use for work-related courses. The government will be providing periodic top-ups to your credit.

Singapore Citizens 25 years old and above in 2016, who are in the workforce, as well as those who have completed their full-time education and are ready to embark on their careers.

No, SkillsFuture Credit is only for Singapore Citizens.

SkillsFuture Credit can be used for a wide range of approved skills-related courses related to education and training. You can choose from about 10,000 approved skills-related courses across 57 functional areas. Your SkillsFuture Credit can be applied to ROHEI courses that are eligible for SkillsFuture credit.

The list of approved courses include:

  • Courses subsidised or approved by WDA
  • Selected courses offered by the Ministry of Education (MOE)-funded institutions
  • Courses supported by public agencies
  • SkillsFuture@PA courses offered by the People’s Association and courses offered by the Infocomm Development Authority’s participating Silver Infocomm Junctions

Singaporeans 25 years old and above will receive an initial credit of $500. The government will make further top-ups to individuals’ SkillsFuture Credit at periodic intervals, so you may accumulate your credit. Your credit will not expire.

Singaporeans 40 years old and above will receive additional funding.

SkillsFuture can only be used to offset course fees and not course registration fees or course materials.

WDA has created an account for all eligible Singaporeans. You can access and activate your SkillsFuture Credit account, as well as check your account balance via www.skillsfuture.sg/credit. You can use your SkillsFuture Credit immediately.
